Welcome to MichaelD'Arcy.ie, my official website. I am a Fine Gael politician based in North Wexford and currently a member of Seanad Eireann.

I have been involved in local and National politics for over a decade and in that time my passion for public representation has continued to increase.

As a public representative my focus is on working tirelessly to ensure that everybody can live a secure, healthy and happy life, where their healthcare, education and social needs are met.

Through my time as an elected representative in Wexford County Council, Dail Eireann and many committees and other groups I have been a member of I have had a unique opportunity to see the challenges our people face on a daily basis, their frustrations and their fears. I have also seen their hopes and their dreams. This is what public representation is all about.

Despite being unsuccessful in the recent General Election I was immensely humbled to have received 8,418 first preference votes. The support of so many people forced me to think long and hard about, not just my political future, but also the people of North Wexford who no longer had an Oireachtas representative in their district.

This immense support prompted me to run for Seanad Eireann and I secured a seat on the Administrative panel, garnering 89,000 votes. By maintaining a presence in the Oireachtas, I have ensured that the challenges, fears and frustrations of our people can be addressed in a pragmatic and solutions orientated manner.

I invite you to explore my website to find out more about the issues which I am working on, on your behalf.

Best wishes

Michael
