An Post should seriously consider relocating Gorey Post Office to the site of the new municipal buildings planned for the town, FG Deputy Michael D’Arcy says.
It’s been acknowledged for some time that the existing post office is cramped and short of space for customers and staff alike.
“I’m aware that An Post is considering suitable sites for relocation and I believe it should seriously look at moving to the new civic offices site. This location
has a number of advantages; there is adequate space for a substantially larger premises to operate from, and it’s central location, within walking distance of the town and located near the existing premises, makes it eminently suitable,” Deputy D’Arcy said. `
“An Post should seriously look at moving its entire facility to the new civic site
where its services, combined with extended County Council services and the new library would make it extremely customer-friendly”, the North Wexford T.D. added, saying that he’d written to the CEO of An Post, Mr. Donal Connell to raise the matter with him .
